COMSCORE TO PRESENT THE 2024 ASIA PACIFIC BOX OFFICE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD TO CJ HK ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE VIETNAMESE FILM “MAI”
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ, NOVEMBER 2024 – CineAsia is pleased to announce that global box office data leader, Comscore, will present the 2024 Asia Pacific Box Office Achievement Award at this year’s convention to be held from 9-12 December in Bangkok, Thailand. The award will be presented as part of the CineAsia Awards Ceremony on Thursday 12 December. Accepting the Award for MAI will be Justin Kim, Head of Int’l Film Production for CJ ENM and CEO of CJ HK Entertainment Vietnam, also on behalf of Director Tran Thanh from Tran Thanh Town.

Mai (stylized as: MɅI) is a 2024 Vietnamese romantic drama film starring Phuong Anh Dao, Tran Thanh, Hong Dao and Huynh Uyen An and directed by Tran Thanh. After 20 days of release, the film had officially grossed over 500 billion VND, becoming the highest-grossing film in Vietnamese box office history. The film also helped Tran Thanh become the first and only director in Vietnam to have a total revenue of over 1,000 billion VND.
